The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog that I started at the beginning of this year.
Crunchy numbers as written by WordPress:
4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 28,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 6 Film Festivals! 240 posts were created this year; and 273 pictures were uploaded. The busiest day of the year was April 23rd with 221 views. The most popular post that day was Characterisation of a woman.
It was interesting to read the report and learn that the following posts received the most views during the past year:
- Drawing in Perspective
- Mine Dumps in Johannesburg
- Children’s Party Snacks
- K-pop Gangham Style
- Weekly Photo Challenge: Two Subjects
A review of the past year would be lacking without mention of the readers and commenters who visit my blog. A special thanks go to these people who have commented the most on my posts during the year. Thank you.
But best of all this blog has been an unexpected enjoyment for me as I meet up with others on the internet. I have been able to share my thoughts, photos and writings; and read and look at some beautiful posts.

I love the way WP quantifies the number of views our blogs have attained in the year. Your was attendees at Cannes. Mine was attendees at Jay-Z concerts. (Jay-Z?!?)
