This summer I have seen a few hands creating something beautiful for us to look at and admire. I have enjoyed watching the artist from China paint in ink drawings:

I have seen an old woman cutting paper to create paper art:

I have seen hands modelling clay to make small creatures:

I have seen the intricate carving into wood:

I have seen a sidewalk artist create art with chalk:

And I have seen my own hands create a bedspread for my bed:

Hands can create beautiful things and I enjoy watching them at work.
What have you recently seen hands create?

The act of creating isn’t just a pleasure for the artist, lovely post

I so adore people who are crafty. They are fun to photograph, but I have to admit I’ve not been around anyone recently.

Love the theme you have put together. … Pottery, drawing, needle point, and the list can go on and on.

You are right. I could do a second post if I could find enough hands doing these things 🙂

Never been good with my hands I must admit. That’s why I’m a photographer, not a painter! Lovely post

This is wonderful interpretation of ‘H’, Colline – all those careful hands so deftly creating. What could be better?

Terrific post Colline. I love pictures of hands, especially people who’ve seen more years than me. The wrinkles in the hands are just as telling as the wrinkles of the face.

That is so true Michelle. Makes me remember of a time when I was young: I loved holding my grandmother’s hand to touch her smooth skin and move her wrinkles about 🙂

You certainly have had a beautiful enjoyable Summer Colline.
Great artisans and great crafts.
I enjoyed the sidewalk artists that I witnessed in Chile, so young and so artistic.

I enjoy watching artists at work Ian – maybe because there are so few creative people these days that follow their desire to be creative.
