Journaling in the New Year

One of the things I plan to do in the New Year is to spend some time with my daughters each week preparing our bullet journals. I have tried bullet journaling for one month now and I find that I enjoy the creativity of it. The bonus, for me, is that I get to spend time with my girls. Now that they are older, we no longer work around the table in the afternoons. Doing this activity with them remedies that and I get to have a chance to chat with them on what is happening in their personal lives.

Today on the first day of 2020, we spent time setting up our journals for the month. It was a perfect way to bring in the New Year.

What did you do (or plan to do) on the first day of January?

  1. Happy New Year Colline. We had a nice and quiet first day of 2020 – I cleaned out my study (as you do on holidays) and I decluttered my wardrobe and cupboards. Looking forward to reading by the beach next week. Enjoy your new year.

  2. I love this. today, I cleaned everything, began a new puzzle, had lunch with a friend and went for a walk, it was a nice way for me to begin the year.

  3. Yes a quiet at home day with family. Jigsaw puzzle snd Knitting. A game of checkers with my grandson(4).I think Iโ€™d like to try billet journaling.

    1. I think you would like it Ruth. I will be posting more of what I am doing so look out for it. I find it relaxing and creative. And it is a bonus if you can do it with someone ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. I never thought of journaling ad a shared experience but you have opened up a great way to share with very select people- your gorks. Great!

    1. It is such fun. We share ideas with one another and help our pages to look better. Also my girls (who are artists) see that their mom can be creative too ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. I started making Junk Journals a bit more than a year ago, and have never had so much fun! I make a few for myself to write in, and several that I sell in my Etsy shop. Have you done any junk journaling? It’s a blast! I highly recommend!!
