My Gratitude Project: Each Wednesday I post on one thing that has made me grateful during the week. At times I may share a photo, at other times I simply write. My aim in sharing my gratitude is to help me focus on the wonderful people and experiences I have in my life. At the end of these weekly posts, I invite others grab my button and share with us the things that they are grateful for at the time of writing.

Migrating North: This was my first attempt at writing a series. For the 31 days of October in 2014, I wrote on my experience moving from Johannesburg, South Africa to Toronto, Canada. To help focus the writing, I used the prompts given by Kate Motaung for her Five Minute Friday Challenge. I enjoyed the focus I experienced in writing the series and found that it was a good way to revisit those experiences that influenced my current situation.

Blackboard Scribbles: This was my second attempt at writing a series while participating in the FMF October challenge for 2015. I wrote on my teaching experiences both in South Africa as well as my beginning experiences in Toronto. I used the prompts given by Kate Motaung to focus the content of my blog posts.

Reflections on Modern Life: After the Summer and a long break from blogging, I found it difficult to get back into blogging every day. I decided to once again participate in the FMF challenge. I decided on my topic while walking home from work on a Friday afternoon and thinking of all the stresses and expectations of modern life.
