We have tamed nature: we pull out weeds and and nature’s grasses to plant a grass we have tamed. We mow our lawns and plant flowerbeds. However, I find beauty in the riotous arrangement of nature’s grasses and flowers in the Southern African veld during the summer when the plants are in flower after the rains.
I enjoy walking through this veld and seeing the flowers swaying in the wind.
